Wii games coming to Wii U eShop

Hoping to relive the glory days of the Wii, well Nintendo has confirmed that Wii games will be arriving on the Wii U eShop with the first being Super Mario Galaxy 2. Punch-Out will follow on January 22, and finally Metroid Prime Trilogy on January 29. The games will be half price, $10, for the first week on the Wii U eShop before returning to normal price.
Nintendo also unveiled that games on the Wii that allowed use of the Wii’s Classic Controller will be able to use the Wii U’s Gamepad to control the game. Players will no longer need to enter “Wii mode” to player previous generation system’s games and can be accessed from the Wii U’s home menu.
As of now no other other games have been confirmed to be rereleased on the Wii U eShop or if the offer will extend to other future releases.
