This Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake Guide is the best way to see the most hopeful conclusion to the story. To reach the 100% completion mark in this Survival Horror Guide, you need to understand every Ending Requirement and boss strategy.
The Promise Ending
Many people feel this is the most satisfying way to finish the game because it shows a better future for both sisters in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
To get this result, you must be playing in New Game+. You need to have Yae's Spirit Stone and keep it equipped. You can get this stone by finishing the Crimson Butterfly ending first and then completing the side story for Yae Kurosawa in a new playthrough.

How to Trigger the Ending
Follow the same steps you took for the Crimson Butterfly ending. Go through Kurosawa House and defeat the Kurosawa Matriarch boss in the Hall of Ropes. Before you reach the Ritual Altar in the Deep Path Tunnel, make sure to put on Yae's Spirit Stone.
You will know you did it right if you see Mayu running toward the Torii Gates at the Ritual Altar. In other endings, she usually just stands on the altar with the twin specters in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
The Final Battle and Escape
You will have to fight the Kusabi again. The fight works the same way as before, and he will get stronger once his health drops halfway. Use your best film and keep moving to stay safe. After you win, the final scene will change.
The spirit of Yae flows through Mio, which lets Yae and Sae go into the Abyss together. This allows Mio to pull Mayu to safety. Both sisters survive the night and watch the butterflies fly up from Misono Hill.

A Quick Tip for Replaying
If you want to save time, you can use Chapter Select in New Game+. This lets you jump right to the last chapter. If you have a save file in the Deep Path Tunnel, you can finish this quickly without playing the whole game again in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
