The S-Tier Moonstone Axe Build is a heavy DPS build that deviates from the usual magical style builds. This is an excellent choice for boss fights due to the high DPS you’ll get when paired with appropriate Boons.

Aspect of Melinoë

When you play with the Aspect of Melinoë, use the base attack damage to maximize overall offense, which is really good at providing you with repeated, high-damage attacks that can quickly kill enemies in melee combat in Hades II.

Your main approach should be to maximize attack damage through simple damage boost or other health-scaling methods. To scale damage directly, make sure you grab Life Affirmation from Aphrodite and Hearty Appetite (an Aphrodite x Demeter duo boon).

This boon lets you transform your health pool into increased damage output, generating a self-reinforcing increase in damage that becomes stronger the more health you pick up throughout your run in Hades II.

Your boon choice should be based on either Flutter Strike from Aphrodite, which adds extra attack damage against close-range foes, or Nova Strike from Apollo, which expands your attack's area of effect and damage.

Secret Crush from Aphrodite similarly gives your attacks huge boosts in power, but at the cost of having to prime 20 Magick.

For hammer upgrades, use Executioner's Chop, which doubles your final strike in your combo chain but costs 20 Magick every time it is used.

Alternatively, Hell Splitter turns your three-strike combo into one, massive chop with +300 power at the cost of combo length for a decent damage output.

Aspect of Charon

The Charon Aspect calls for more strategic play, positioning, and utilization of the Omega special. Your fight rhythm should involve casting first, then positioning yourself close to utilize your Omega special, thereby provoking both Lucid Gain and Local Climate effects in Hades II.

Your core boon setup should include Arctic Ring from Demeter, which causes your casts to inflict freeze status while dealing continuous damage to enemies within the binding circle.

Local Climate, also from Demeter, significantly increases your Omega cast damage, with the bonus doubling when you position yourself within the binding circle.

Lucid Gain from Apollo provides crucial magick restoration by immediately refilling your magick pool when you stand within your casts as they expire in Hades II.

Super Nova from Apollo enhances your casts by increasing their size until expiration, maximizing your area control. Any special-focused boons will complement this build effectively, as your Omega special serves as your primary close-range damage dealer.

For hammer upgrades, Sudden Cleaver reduces your Omega special channeling time by 25%, allowing for faster execution and better combat flow. Giga Cleaver lets your Omega special fire twice in succession, but it raises the magick cost by 15 points in Hades II.

Aspect of Thanatos

The aspect of Thanatos is like the Aspect of Melinoë. Your tactic is to play through ramping up attacks to gain Mortality status and then switch over to spinning attacks for sustained damage output.

Since maintaining Mortality is essential for this build's effectiveness, you'll need to prioritize defensive capabilities to avoid losing this crucial buff in Hades II.

Your boon selection should include Flutter Strike from Aphrodite for enhanced nearby enemy damage and Secret Crush from Aphrodite for increased attack power at the cost of priming 20 Magick.

Wispy Wiles from Aphrodite provides dodge chances based on your Air count, which is crucial for maintaining Mortality status. Boons from Hermes and Artemis offer excellent supplementary benefits, while any magick regeneration boons will help sustain your abilities.

For hammer upgrades, Furious Whirlwind accelerates your Omega attack channeling speed while increasing your movement speed by 50% during activation.

Colossus Slash applies +10 power to attacks and reduces damage taken by 20% while utilizing them. Psychic Whirlwind adds the capability to use regular attacks and specials as part of your Omega attack channeling, providing more fight flexibility in Hades II.

Aspect of Nergal

The Aspect of Nergal is the most magick-intensive build option, where there is close resource management and specific sets of legendary boons that must be used.

When you succeed in getting Apollo's mythic boon as well as Giga Cleaver, you can chain as many as 12 Omega specials.

However, you cannot use multiple Omega specials simultaneously, so you'll need to weave regular attacks between special uses to maintain combat effectiveness.

Your essential boon setup includes Nova Flourish from Apollo, which increases your special damage across a larger area. Exceptional Talent from Apollo causes both your Omega attack and Omega special to fire twice, though at increased magick costs in Hades II.

Born Gain from Hera provides crucial magick management by priming you until the following location to restore all magick whenever you deplete your magick pool. Any attack-focused boons will help fill the gaps between your Omega special uses.

The recommended hammer upgrade is Giga Cleaver, which allows your Omega special to fire twice in succession but increases the magick cost by 15 points. Sudden Cleaver serves as an alternative, reducing your special channeling time by 25% for improved combat flow and more frequent special usage in Hades II.
