SAND: Raiders of Sophie Guide | How to Get Fabric Scraps

In SAND: Raiders of Sophie, Weird Corals were a resource that used to unlock upgrades, equipment, and Trampler improvements. Unlike Coral Chunks, they do not fall from crates or containers. They are obtained from enemies, and thus require more effort to obtain than regular looting.

The Enemies are located in the following areas:

Go to the places on the map where you can see pink coral formations. These coral covered areas are where the infected enemies spawn. The best places to find these enemies are the named islands, as they have more of them and more coral to work with. These are usually shipwrecks, towns on islands, and other significant landmarks on the map.

Farming Weird Corals

After entering an infected area, search for the Infected Enemies and pick up their dropped items. Weird Corals are not guaranteed drops, so you will have to kill several enemies to get a decent amount. Be prepared to stay awhile, as it takes time.

These places are noticed. Other players can appear and fight against the same enemies, and you will already have enemies in the area that are hostile NPCs. Be vigilant and prepared for both. The named island spots are the riskiest but also the best opportunities to come out with a good amount of Weird Corals to make the run worthwhile.
