Leviathan Meat is a green tier resource in SAND: Raiders of Sophie, and it is a resource you will want to collect as soon as you see it, as it will be used in a number of mid and late game Tech Tree upgrades and other crafting requirements.

Where to Find It

Rare Food Crates are what you're after. These can be found at small sites such as shipwrecks occasionally, but at named sites, particularly island towns and other large landmarks, you have a much better chance of finding them as they spawn more frequently at higher tiers.

Spotting the Right Crate

Search for green crates with a white cow logo on the lid. They are slightly smaller than other loot crates, so if you're rushing through an area, you can easily overlook one. Take your time and look for them, as soon as you see one, it's worth opening. It's likely to contain Leviathan Meat and other foodstuffs.

Farming It Efficiently

If you are farming Leviathan Meat, head to larger settlements and take your time in each building. This is the way to get the highest number of Rare Food Crates per run.

Staying Safe

These loot-rich areas attract hostile NPCs and rival players as anywhere else valuable. Be alert while searching, park your Trampler as close as possible if possible, and ensure that your extraction goes through so you don't lose the Leviathan Meat you worked for.
