The Medkit is the one item that is the key to healing yourself in SAND: Raiders of Sophie. They can be obtained in two ways, depending on how far you've progressed in the game.

Looting Medkits Early On

If you're just beginning, you have only one choice: looting. Medkits appear in medical cabinets, and these are found in both small and large locations, ranging from small shipwrecks to large named towns. Look in all medical cabinets you pass, they are one of the more reliable places to find a Medkit.

Buying Medkits Later

After making some progress, you can unlock Medkits in the item shop instead. To unlock the Energy Rod shop upgrade in the Tech Tree, you must first unlock the Energy Rod shop. That unlocks the Medkit shop upgrade next, and then you can simply purchase them with Crowns as needed.

When You're Short on Crowns

If you don't have enough Crowns saved up, go back out on another expedition and continue looting medical cabinets in the meantime. It ensures you are always well supplied without depleting your Crown reserves.
