One of the shorter missions in Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2 is Sector Z, which requires some practice to reach the hit count for a Medal. A total of 100 hits is required. There are 6 Copperhead Missiles across the 3 waves, each worth 10 points, so 60 points from missiles.
The other 40 must be obtained from other sources. Oh, and you have to keep all your teammates alive and ensure that no missile gets to the Great Fox. Once one succeeds, the mission is over.

Sector Z
The way you get to Sector Z alters the mission. If you entered the Warp Gate from Sector X, it's just your squad all the way. Katt can appear to assist if you rescued her from enemy fighters in that mission, otherwise she will not appear if you came from Zoness. The mission is the same as the Sector X warp route, except that you do not save her.
Katt appears when the last three missiles are fired, and assists in destroying them. Keep in mind that if she shoots a missile before you land the last hit, the points go to her and not you. That's one less missile to score. The last wave is more difficult to manage without the help of Coming from Sector X.
Always Get the Last Hit on Each Missile
The 10 points are only awarded for the last shot to the Copperhead Missile. If another teammate or Katt completes it, you don't get anything for that missile. This is one of the primary reasons why players are not able to reach 100 hits in Sector Z. Remain on each missile and ensure that you are the one to destroy it.

Deal With Enemy Fighters Before Going After Missiles
When a missile wave launches, enemy fighters come out at the same time and start targeting your teammates. If you don't pay attention to them, your team will be in trouble in no time. When missiles are seen, get close to the Great Fox and your team and eliminate the person who is chasing your team first, then eliminate the missile. Once the missile is close to the Great Fox, switch to it before you have finished with the fighters. It cannot be allowed to strike the ship. If you don't upgrade your lasers, take more time, it takes longer to bring each missile down without Hyper Lasers.
Plant the Salvage Crates Early
Prior to the missiles beginning to drop, clear the Salvage Crates that are spread throughout the level. They each provide 2 hits. They don't have much value on their own, but they do add up and help you get closer to 100. The first time is the best time to attack them because you don't have to assist a teammate very often and there are no missiles to be concerned about.
