To earn a Medal in Venom 2: Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2, you must destroy the four members of Star Wolf for 200 hits. All four are worth 50 points each, so 4 x 50 = 200. It's a dogfight and you have about 3-4 minutes to complete the whole mission.

It is crucial to go in with the Double Laser, otherwise it is much harder than it should be. Also, watch out for the pillars. If you go down and have to restart, the Double Laser doesn't carry over.

Star Fox Guide Starting in Venom 2

Positioning at the Start

At the start of the mission, Star Wolf will appear from the west side of the area. Somersault immediately to give yourself a moment to get your bearings as they spread out. After that, you want to get as close as possible to their ships and your Arwing. Apply Barrel Rolls to break the gap when they attempt to pull away and apply the brake when they make sharp turns to keep them on. The idea is to get behind them and continue to deal damage until they are down.

Always Get the Last Hit Yourself

If an enemy ship is near the end of the game, your teammates will and can take the kill. If this occurs, you will not receive the 50 points. Do not leave the target and complete it on your own, regardless of what happens.

Order to Take Down Star Wolf

Go after Wolf last. He only attacks you directly and is the most difficult to handle, so clear the others first. Pigma is the second most dangerous as he is always on Peppy. Leon is manageable — Falco handles him well and almost never goes down fighting him. Andrew chases Slippy occasionally, but he's the least aggressive of the four. Remove Pigma, Leon, and Andrew first, then work on Wolf.

How to Beat Wolf

When Wolf is the last one, get him on your tail and then somersault. That turns things around and places him in front of you. He'll try to get away, but use your brake or another somersault to stay behind him. Don't worry about Bombs or charged shots, keep the Double Laser on him.

Getting the Double Laser Before Andross

If you don't have the Double Laser in the Andross fight, there's a way through the stage to get it. At the first fork turn left to collect the first Double Laser. Then turn right at each intersection. Take that route to the end and the second Double Laser will be waiting.

Andross — Phase One

Andross starts the fight by showing just his face. Take out both of his eyes. He will rub them and then lift one hand (left or right). Shoot the weak point on whichever hand he raises. Do this until he has only his head left. If he begins to suck in air, throw a Bomb to stun him, then follow with the Double Laser on his eyes. With the Double Laser, this phase doesn't take long.

Andross — Phase Two

Following the first phase, Andross shows his true form, a brain with two eyes. Destroy both eyes to drop the barrier protecting him. After the barrier is removed, fly directly at him, shoot, and then perform a U-Turn. He will immediately turn back to you and you will have a clear shot at his weak point. Do this a couple of times and he goes down. The only thing to be careful of here is the tentacles. You will lose your wings if you get caught in them.

The Escape

After Andross is defeated, follow Fox McCloud out. Boost to keep up and don't fall behind in the maze. Stay on him all the way to the exit and the mission ends.
