Finding efficient ways to gain experience and Red Mercury in the early stages of Wu Chang Fallen Feathers can significantly accelerate your character progression.
This guide outlines three farming methods you can start using early in your journey.
These farming locations become available very early on in the game, giving you tons of opportunities to farm resources and XP points.
The farming methods include routes that clear areas with multiple enemies and a focused approach that targets a single high-value opponent. Each method has its benefits, suited to your playstyle and equipment.
Using this method, you'll be able to get a lot of Red Mercury and experience points. The most effective method yields approximately 480 Red Mercury per kill in under 30 seconds in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Lightzen Temple Shrine Farm
Your first farming opportunity is at the Lightzen Temple area. This location has around 10 to 20 enemies near the shrine, making it an excellent spot for regular farming.
The exact number of enemies you can defeat depends on your current loadout and build setup.
Start your farming route by entering the pathway directly from the shrine. This first area has about five or six enemies that you can defeat using your available abilities in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
The most effective build that you can use here is the Magic-Based builds because of their range advantage.
Make sure to kill the enemy that usually hides behind the chest after clearing the section in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Return to the courtyard and proceed across it. On your left, you will see two more enemies inside a doorway.
Continue straight from the entrance, slightly to your right, to find two more enemies, with a third one positioned behind them. These enemies are pretty easy to defeat once you establish your attack pattern in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Near the shrine itself, you will discover a group of three or four enemies, with an additional one approaching from behind during combat.
This brings the total to four enemies in this immediate area. After eliminating these opponents, proceed to the location where two more enemies will drop down from the ceiling.
You can find a few more enemies around the corner, though these are optional depending on your farming efficiency goals in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
This complete route usually produces between 1,500 and 2,000 Red Mercury per run. IF your movement is fast enough and you have proper combat timing, you can finish the entire run in just a couple of minutes.
To reset the enemy positions once a run is completed, you have to return to the shrine and repeat the process.
Don't forget to collect any consumables dropped by enemies. You can turn these into extra Red Mercury.

Shu Sanctum Shrine Farm
If you want to unlock the second farming location, you need to be further in the game, specifically at the Shu Sanctum Shrine in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Look for a nearby tree. When you activate it, a shortcut opens. Be sure to do this before each farming run, as this shortcut enhances the efficiency of your runs.
From the Shu Sanctum, follow the path until you reach the tree that acts as a shortcut mechanism.
Activate this tree to create a faster route for future farming runs. After you complete this setup, go.
Turn left from the shrine and ascend the stairs. Moving back on yourself, you will see where the activated branch creates your shortcut path.
This farming route involves several larger enemies that deal substantial damage but provide correspondingly higher rewards. You can expect to earn approximately 2,000 to 3,000 Red Mercury per complete run in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Your first target is a ranged enemy who shoots projectiles. If you are using spells, engage from a distance; otherwise, close the gap quickly while dodging his attacks.
This enemy gives you 200 Red Mercury when you defeat it. Move ahead past the NPC on your right, then turn right and go down to face two dog-like enemies. Each of them offers 40 Red Mercury, so you'll get a total of 80 from both.
Next, you will see an armored enemy. You can sneak up on him from behind for a stealth attack. Move into position and perform a heavy attack from his back.
Another larger enemy typically patrols nearby, usually walking away when you engage the first target. This second enemy also uses ranged attacks, so maintain distance or close in quickly to avoid his projectiles.
These two enemies provide a combined 400 Red Mercury in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Turn right at the doors to discover two enemies fighting each other. You can easily eliminate both while they are distracted, earning 60 Red Mercury from each.
You'll see two enemies fighting each other if you turn right. These enemies are easy to take down if you attack them while they are distracted. You can get 60 Red Mercury from each one.
Around the corner, you will find another group of three or four enemies fighting among themselves. Defeat all of them to collect more Red Mercury and any items they drop.
After you finish this route, pick up any leftover loot and return to the shrine using your shortcut. Reset the area and repeat the process to keep farming.

Bandit Cave Shrine Farm
The best farming method happens at the Bandit Cave Shrine. This spot provides the right amount of concentration for the time spent, making it the top choice for quick progress.
The main target here is one large enemy that drops about 400 to 480 Red Mercury for each kill.
From the Bandit Cave Shrine, jump down from the shrine platform and move forward through the small gap ahead in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
You will face a standard enemy that gives you 30 Red Mercury. Defeat this enemy and continue to the larger target nearby.
Approach the large enemy from behind to execute a stealthy attack. This enemy rewards you with 400 Red Mercury when defeated, making it the most valuable single target in the early game.
The entire process, from shrine to kill, takes approximately 20 to 30 seconds, depending on your approach and combat efficiency in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
After defeating both enemies, go straight back to the shrine and reset the area. Stay away from jumping off the nearby edges, as this could lead to character death.
All the enemies will return to their original location as soon as you respawn at the shrine. This method allows you to restart the farming process.
