CD Projekt RED Offering Free Next-Generation Updates For The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt

Today, CD Projekt RED confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will arrive for Xbox Series X and PS5 with all content released. In addition, all owners of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on current generation systems will get a free upgrade.

This is incredibly generous as CD Projekt RED is already providing free upgrades to all copies of Cyberpunk 2077 for the console family you purchase on.

Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.

 

The next generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release as a standalone purchase for PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, as well as a free update for everyone who already owns the game on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for PS4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One.
