Hideo Kojima is notorious for placing easter eggs from his favorite movies into video games he has developed. Since the reveal of Lea Seydoux's character for Death Stranding, which we know little about, many made the connection between her and Mary Poppins due to the umbrella. It seems that the connection is valid as Hideo Kojima confirmed that the character is a tribute the popular nanny.
