4A and Deep Silver made the announcement today about the game's new release date and status. This is likely for Metro Exodus to not have to compete with EA's Anthem which releases on February 22nd but now will compete with Jump Force, Far Cry New Dawn, Crackdown 3, and Dead or Alive 6. While the fighting games have their own audiences competing with both Ubisoft and Microsoft is probably not ideal but we'll have to wait and see.

In addition, the opening cinematic for the game was released and uploaded by IGN.

Metro Exodus releases on February 15, 2019, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
