With the big launch patch, Infinity Ward is already rolling out more updates for Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, with another round of fixes and gameplay changes. The latest updates include multiplayer, DMZ, weapon customization, progression, and fixes for general gameplay issues. Plenty of changes are coming across the game's modes, with more expected over the next few days.

Among the more noticeable multiplayer changes is Hardcore mode, which lowers a player's max health from 30 to 22. This change could dramatically affect how some weapons perform, making some guns feel very different in matches. Infinity Ward also fixed an exploit that allowed players to attach proximity mines to Seeker Drones, along with several out-of-bounds exploits at Wolves Stadium in Ground War.

Another unusual issue involving the Cronin Osprey has also been addressed. Previously, equipping the Helix Mark I Apex attachment could cause the weapon to clip through players during finishing moves. Several progression issues were also fixed, including one that prevented the Bosu Prime from unlocking after completing the Classic Prestige 10 track.

The Mercurial Drift multiplayer weapon mastery camo also received a fix for a visual bug that continued showing it as locked even after players had completed the requirements.

The update also brings several multiplayer interface improvements. Players now have select and deselect all options when editing Quick Play modes. Infinity Ward fixed overlapping loadout menus in Killblock 247, animation problems during its reconfiguration transition, and an issue that prevented the damage dealt display from appearing after death in Private Match.

Split-screen received attention, too, with fixes for the second player's inability to access the View Maps tab and a crash that could occur when generating weapons through Gunny. Other interface fixes address incorrect equipment prompts for locked weapons, missing cash notifications in Inflation, and a cash counter that could incorrectly double the amount collected.

DMZ received one of the largest portions of this update. Infinity Ward addressed several duplication exploits that let players collect extra loot through unintended methods. The developers also updated FOB vendor recipes and assembly requirements to reflect the currently available items.

Several equipment and gameplay problems have been fixed, including the 50 GS Magna pistol occasionally disappearing from backpacks and the Sedative Inhaler becoming unusable while holding a knife. The Free Prep trait now provides a random consumable instead of repeatedly supplying radiation blockers.

Infinity Ward also removed an issue that allowed unused hydrochloric acid to appear as loot.

Enemy AI melee damage has been corrected to reflect equipped weapons properly. Other fixes include Colossus spawning at the military base before the armory opens, incorrect Xfil countdowns when boarding another player's helicopter, and riot enemies occasionally spawning on top of each other along the shoreline.

Players should also notice fixes involving the Supreme Leader bunker, where the door-breach prompt previously failed to work on double doors. We also addressed an issue that unintentionally gave players UAV pings while enemy UAVs were active. We also corrected tank physics to prevent vehicles from unexpectedly bouncing into the air when driving over Razor Wire equipment.

Additional DMZ adjustments include fixing ammo boxes getting stuck inside vehicle doors, visual clipping affecting enemy AI riot shields when using recon tablets, and reducing battery spawn rates at banks. The Possum trait has also received a fix for an issue where it sometimes failed to restore health after being revived.

Progression and interface improvements are included, too.

The High Value Escort calling card challenge now tracks progress correctly, while certain Lieutenant dog tags have received fixes for camo progression. The bounty leaderboard now displays your ranking on the Friends tab, and the dog tag case places your most recently acquired tag first.

Infinity Ward also fixed duplicated Lieutenant targets on the boss board, incorrect Gunsmith attachment options, and a Weapon Stash upgrade that remained available for purchase after completion. The DMZ military base mission selection menu now recommends the intended three-plate armor vest.

Several global fixes round out the Modern Warfare 4 update, covering weapon optics, XP token prompts, Gunsmith navigation, and audio settings. A new warning also appears when changing weapon receivers, notifying you that the modification could affect a weapon's appearance or functionality. Other corrections address disappearing attachments, missing ammunition in the Apoch 338 ammo belt preview, and incorrect Deploy and Play tooltips.

The November 6 update adds another round of changes.

Players can now access the In Transit playlist, featuring Shipment, Shoot House, and In Transit 24/7, giving you another option for grinding weapon camos. The playlist is also available in Hardcore. Infinity Ward fixed loadout freezing during first-time editing, broken loadouts after prestiging, and completed events failing to count towards event mastery camo progression.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 DMZ Updates

Weapon fixes include problems with certain rocket launcher blueprints in DMZ and alternate fire modes on the 7.62 ARC Apex attachment. The Cronin Osprey Vanish blueprint also received a visual correction when equipped with the Helix Mark II Apex.

Finally, DMZ stealth mechanics received an important adjustment.

Thermal Padding, Thermal Padding Pro, and Sedative Inhalers now correctly hide you from standard UAVs and upgraded UAV towers. However, Advanced UAV Fire Support will still detect players using these items, keeping it the primary counter to stealth equipment.

The developers also corrected several trait descriptions and fixed progression problems involving Hajin story missions, Lieutenant backpacks, Black Cell daily rewards, and operator challenges tied to successful Xfils. The Black Cell login reward counter now correctly begins on day one rather than day zero.

With these changes, Modern Warfare 4's Season 1 launch is getting another round of improvements across multiplayer and DMZ. Infinity Ward has indicated that more updates are coming over the next few days, so players can expect further fixes as the developers continue addressing issues.
