This guide explains how to access the closed-off building located in the Shipwreck Shoal area of Ghost of Yōtei. To reach this location, you must travel to Teshio Ridge, which is positioned in the northern section of the map. Once you arrive, make your way toward Shipwreck Shoal, a small island area that is slightly separated from the mainland.

Reaching The Island

At the site, you will notice a set of Fox Statues near the shore. To create a path across, you need to adjust the direction of these statues. Begin by rotating the first pair of Fox Statues so that they face inward toward one another in Ghost of Yōtei.

Turn the left statue inward first, then adjust the right one until it faces inward as well. When both statues are positioned correctly, a rope bridge will extend across the gap, allowing you to cross to the other side.

Unlocking The Closed Building

After crossing the rope bridge, you must change the positions of the Fox Statues again to gain access to the closed building. This time, the statues must be turned outward. Approach one of the statues—starting with the left one is effective—and rotate it until it faces away in Ghost of Yōtei.

Repeat this with the second statue until both are facing outward. Once the alignment is correct, the mechanism will activate, and you will be able to enter the previously closed building at Shipwreck Shoal.
