The Black Coat is one of Melinoë's most flexible weapon options in Hades II, offering four distinct aspects that offer different playstyles and combat choices.

Aspect of Melinoë

When using the Aspect of Melinoë, your strategy is based on doing regular attacks with enhanced electrical effects. Your play style should be of electricity-boosted combat that has the potential to destroy several enemies at a time in Hades II.

Your primary offence starts with Zeus's Heaven Strike, which causes your attacks to deal Blitz to the enemies. This electrical effect is the foundation on which the rest of the build strategy is based.

Next, you'll want to acquire Static Shock, also from Zeus, which enables your strikes to emit chain lightning that bounces up to four times, though you'll need to prime fifty Magick to activate this effect.

To amplify your electrical arsenal further, Electric Overload from Zeus increases your chain lightning's damage output while allowing it to bounce up to three additional times beyond the base amount.

The synergy becomes even more powerful when you obtain Air Quality from Zeus, which ensures that as long as you maintain at least five Air, you'll never deal less damage than the established limit in Hades II.

Before accessing the pinnacle of this build, you must first secure one of several prerequisite boons: Volcanic Strike, Volcanic Flourish, Anvil Ring, Smithy Rush, or Tough Gain.

Once you've met this requirement, you can obtain Master Conductor, a Zeus and Hephaestus duo boon that allows your chain-lightning to bounce off yourself while dealing increasing damage to enemies with each subsequent bounce.

Your mobility is increased quite a lot with Nimble Limbs from Hermes, which accelerates your Attack, Special, and Cast speeds to allow for smoother battle encounters in Hades II.

In terms of hammer upgrades, Rapid Frame enhances your attacking speed by thirty-five per cent for a more attacking playstyle. Alternatively, Reaper Frame increases ten power to your attacks and widens their damage area.

Siege Frame provides a thirty per cent damage increase and extends your forward reach, while Exhaust Riser causes your Dash-Strike to hit three additional times.

Aspect of Selene

The Aspect of Selene demands a more strategic approach centred around your Omega Special ability.

Your top priority is to utilise this strong special to charge your Hex, and then follow up with the increased damage potential on Shine-infected targets.

Your first boon option is Poseidon's Wave Flourish, which turns your specials into splash attacks that knock back other foes from the target.

This creates both offensive and defensive advantages by damaging multiple foes while creating space for tactical positioning.

Flood Gain from Poseidon becomes essential for sustaining your Magick-intensive playstyle. This boon ensures that your Omega Moves temporarily restore any Magick you expend, with this effect becoming available again after eight seconds in Hades II.

This restoration mechanic allows for more frequent use of your most potent abilities.

Slippery Slope from Poseidon enhances all your Poseidon splash effects by adding Froth affliction to targets while increasing Froth's damage output.

This creates additional damage over time that complements your primary offensive strategy.

King Tide from Poseidon expands your splash effects' area of influence while providing bonus damage specifically against Guardians, making boss encounters significantly more manageable in Hades II.

Your hammer upgrade options include Shimmering Rockets, which causes your specials to bounce toward up to two additional enemies, effectively tripling your potential targets per cast.

Furious Rockets increase both launch and flight speed by eighty per cent, reducing the time enemies have to react or escape. Sudden Salvo accelerates your Omega Special's lock-on process while reducing its Magick cost by twenty per cent.

Aspect of Nyx

When utilising the Aspect of Nyx, your combat strategy begins with your Omega Boost ability to generate Nightspawn, after which you transition into aggressive attack patterns supported by these shadowy allies in Hades II.

Your boon progression starts with Wave Strike from Poseidon, which applies splash effects to your attacks that knock surrounding enemies away from your primary target. This creates space while ensuring multiple enemies take damage from each successful hit in Hades II.

Breaker Rush from Poseidon transforms your Sprint ability into an offensive tool. Whenever you sprint and collide with an enemy, you'll unleash a blast that knocks surrounding foes away, turning your mobility into both an escape mechanism and an attack vector.

Slippery Slope from Poseidon adds Froth affliction to all your Poseidon splash effects while increasing Froth's damage potential. This ensures that enemies continue taking damage even after your initial attacks connect.

King Tide from Poseidon expands all your splash effects' radius while providing additional damage against Guardians, making encounters with powerful enemies more favourable.

The Beach Ball duo boon, combining Poseidon and Apollo, requires you first to obtain Nova Flourish, Solar Ring, or Lucid Gain as prerequisites.

Once acquired, this boon causes your Sprint to create a watery sphere that follows behind you, which then surges forward once you cease sprinting, adding another layer of offensive capability to your movement.

Your hammer upgrades mirror some options from other aspects: Rapid Frame provides thirty-five per cent faster attacks, while Exhaust Riser causes your Dash-Strike to hit three additional times, significantly increasing your burst damage potential.

Aspects of Shiva

The Aspect of Shiva requires the most complex execution sequence among all aspects. You must first absorb your Omega Special, then transition to utilising your Omega Attack.

Apollo's Specialists assist with absorption across larger areas, while Elephant Rockets simplify this process considerably in Hades II.

Your boon selection focuses on Flutter Strike from Aphrodite, which increases your attack damage against nearby enemies, encouraging close-quarters combat.

Nova Flourish from Apollo expands your special's damage area and power, making the absorption phase more effective across multiple targets.

Aphrodite's Secret Crush adds extra strength to your attacks but takes twenty Magick to prime in order to activate. This is a tradeoff that can be made bearable with good Magick regen support, something that will become critical for sustaining this build's potency in more prolonged battles.

Effective Magick regeneration becomes essential for this aspect's success, as the build relies heavily on Magick-consuming abilities. Focus on acquiring boons and upgrades that support Magick recovery or reduce Magick costs whenever possible.

Elephant Rockets serve as your primary hammer upgrade, providing additional power to your specials while causing them to fly straight ahead, simplifying targeting and absorption mechanics.

World Collider dramatically enhances your fully-charged Omega Attack with one hundred additional power, creating devastating finishing potential.

Reaper Frame grants ten additional power to your attacks while expanding their damage area, while Siege Frame provides a thirty per cent damage increase with extended forward reach in Hades II.
