Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Guide | How To Get Annihilape
Catch Mankey early, evolve into Primeape, then use Rage Fist 20 times to unlock Annihilape.
Game Guide by Monarch on Feb 28, 2026
Annihilape is one of the best new evolutions you can add to a team in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The full line is simple, but the final step is special. You first catch Mankey, evolve it into Primeape, then meet a move-use requirement to trigger the last evolution.
Once you know the exact levels and what to do, you can finish the whole process without wasting time.
Where To Find Mankey Early
Mankey spawns close to a small city in the middle of the early map area, so it is not far from where you start. When you reach the spot, look around the wild spawns, and you should see Mankey appearing regularly. In this area, they are around Level 15, which makes them easy to catch and train early.

Evolve Mankey Into Primeape
After you catch Mankey, level it up until it reaches Level 28. At Level 28, it evolves into Primeape automatically. This is a normal level evolution, so you only need EXP from battles, quests, or training.
Learn Rage Fist On Primeape
Next, you need Primeape to learn a move called Rage Fist. Keep leveling Primeape until it learns it. The route shows Rage Fist being learned at around Level 35, so aim for that level range and check your move list once you get close.

Use Rage Fist 20 Times
Once Primeape has Rage Fist, you must use the move 20 times in battles. This means you need to select Rage Fist as an attack and successfully use it repeatedly.
A fast way to finish this is by fighting Pokémon around a similar level where the move is not very effective. This helps you avoid knocking targets out too quickly, so you can use Rage Fist multiple times in the same battle and reach 20 uses faster.
In the example route, finishing the 20 uses takes about 14 minutes of fighting when you choose the right targets and keep using the move repeatedly.

Evolve Primeape Into Annihilape
After Rage Fist has been used 20 times, the evolution into Annihilape becomes available. Once the requirement is done, you can trigger the evolution as you continue your progression with Primeape.

If it does not evolve immediately, keep battling and make sure you are still using the same Primeape that completed the 20 uses.
