Diamonds are one of the resources you'll need to make some of the better tools in Solarpunk, and they're not near you. This guide explains where to find and how to establish collection.

The location of diamonds

You'll need to travel far out to reach diamonds, much further than your home base or the vendor. They appear on one of the winter islands, well beyond the early exploration areas. After finding the location, you can establish a drill site and then use drones to transport the diamonds back to your base.

Setting Up Drones for Collection

You can run more than one drill at a diamond site, but each drill only takes one drone, you can't assign two drones to the same drill. If you wish to retrieve diamonds from several drills simultaneously, you will need a separate drone running for each drill.

Power Considerations

This location is quite remote, so it's important to plan ahead for power. A windmill is a better option than solar panels. If you do decide to go with solar panels, pack a battery as well, so your drills can continue working all night long.
