The key to getting the most out of your farm in Solarpunk is the arrangement of your crop plots, and a few tweaks can give you a few more plots with little extra space. This guide will take you through the typical setup and a better alternative.

The Standard Layout
The usual arrangement of the crop plots is two wide and four long, with two more two's on top. This is the default setting and 12 plots are available.
A Better Layout
One player, Coco, discovered a way to fit more plots in the same amount of space. The plots can be staggered so that three plots wide is on two sides and all three will be watered properly. This makes your total 14 plots. It can only be used on two sides, not around the layout.

Raised beds are a great way to try out a new vegetable garden.
Raised beds can be done in a similar manner, but it's more difficult. The beds are not as snugly fitted together and will require patience and likely a few rebuilds to get them to fit together correctly. If you push all the beds as close together as you can, you should still be able to get to 14 plots, but you'll need to be careful and double check the spacing before you decide on a final layout.
