If titles like Cities: Skylines and Surviving Mars showed that there's a certain interest in bringing Paradox published titles to console, the announcement of Stellaris: Console Edition comes off as a bit of a surprise. Paradox grand strategies have been targeted towards PC players until now, being very menu heavy, notoriously difficult to get into but also terribly hard to let go once one gets a hang of them. On the flipside, Stellaris is arguably the most approachable Paradox Development Studios title and it will be interesting to see how the studio handles its first console port. Stellaris: Console Edition will be playable at this year's Gamescom.
