The Uncharted series has been the PlayStation's leading franchises since its debut on the PS3 with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. According to Naughty Dog the series, including numbered entries and spinoffs, have sold over 41 million copies.
The figure was revealed at this year's PSX and shouldn't come as a surprise. The Uncharted series has been one of the highest rated games of all times with the recent entry, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, receiving positive reviews from critics and gamers. This marked the final entry in the treasure hunting series from Naughty Dog and starred Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross instead of series lead Nathan Drake in a standalone adventure.
The first entry, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, released in 2007 before coming to the PS4 in 2015 in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The game would set the tone for the entire series focusing on treasure hunter Nathan Drake as he searched for lost civilizations and ancient treasure all over the world.
Naughty Dog is currently developing The Last of Us Part 2.
