The Horadric Cube is one of the strongest crafting tools in Diablo IV Lord Of Hatred. It can carry your gear progression from the early game into the endgame if you use it correctly. The Cube lets you add affixes, reroll bad stats, upgrade items, target specific uniques, complete charm sets, and improve materials. The key is understanding when to use each option instead of wasting rare resources.

How Gear Modification Works

The first major use of the Horadric Cube is gear modification. With Add Affixes, you place a piece of gear into the Cube and use a Tuning Prism to add an affix type of your choice. In Season 13, the best early crafting targets are Gloves, Rings, and Amulets. By using an Aggressive Tuning Prism, you can add offensive affixes to these items and create strong gear from white, blue, or yellow items with very little investment.

How To Reroll And Remove Affixes

Chaotic Reroll changes one random affix into another random affix, but Tuning Prisms let you control which category gets selected. For example, if a ring has three offensive affixes and one defensive affix like Life Regen, a Defensive Tuning Prism can force the Cube to target that defensive stat.

Focus Reroll is more specific. It rerolls an affix within the same category. If you want to replace Life Regen with Maximum Life, this is the better option. Remove Affix is simpler and removes one affix from an item. With the right prism, you can remove a specific affix category instead of leaving it fully random.

When To Use Transfigure Gear

Transfigure Gear should be the final step on a finished item. It adds a powerful modifier and can give your gear a guaranteed upgrade when used with Entropic Tuning Prisms. However, it also makes the item unmodifiable. That means you should only use it after the item already has the stats you want.

Unique Power Reroll lets you reroll the passive effect on a unique item. This is useful when the item has good stats but a poor passive roll. The materials are very rare, so this option should be saved for valuable uniques.

How To Farm Tuning Prisms

Tuning Prisms are essential for Cube crafting. A strong way to farm them is through the Undercity. Bring a Tribute Of Ingenuity, choose Bargain, and spend gold to target the prism type you need. This helps keep your crafting materials stocked while improving the gear you actually care about.

Best Item Transmutation Uses

The Three-In-One Transmutation turns three items into one item of the same type. The important detail is that three ancestral items guarantee an ancestral result. Do not mix ancestral and non-ancestral gear if you are trying to craft the best outcome.

Recycle Unique works in a similar way for unique items. Sorting ancestral uniques before recycling helps you target better results and saves time while farming Lair Bosses.

Upgrade To Unique is one of the strongest Cube options. It turns a white item into a unique of the same item type. If a class has only one unique for that item base, you can use this to target a specific item more reliably.

Charms And Amalgamation

Reroll Charm Set helps complete a five-piece charm set when you already have most of the correct pieces. Craft Unique Charm can turn a unique item into charm form by using three unique charms and the unique you want to convert.

Amalgamation turns five items into an upgraded version. It is commonly used with boss trophies, but it can also upgrade Undercity Tributes into greater tributes or convert Nightmare Dungeon Sigils into an Escalation Nightmare Sigil for farming Astaroth.
