War Plans is one of the most essential end-game elements in Diablo IV: Lord Of Hatred, because they let you chain tasks for strong rewards without wasting time. The greatest War Plan arrangement is not just about selecting lucrative loot, but also picking actions that are rapid, efficient and worth repeating.

Best War Plan Skill Tree Choices

For the Tree Of Whispers, the main target is the Resplendent Spark at the end of the path. You can take the material route on the right side to reduce grinding, or the left side for Fortune Or Famine, which improves your chance at better caches. Either route works, but reaching Resplendent Spark should be the priority.

For Helltides, go straight down the middle and take the Maggot upgrade. This gives strong experience and Lair Boss Keys, making Helltides one of the best activities to include in your War Plan route.

For the Undercity, there are two good choices. The left path gives a materials chest with Forgotten Souls, which is usually the better option because this resource is hard to farm. The right path gives more experience and faster runs, so it is also useful if you are focused on leveling.

Middle is the safest way to go for Lair Bosses, and is the most efficient. Other branches can slow your run down with more objectives, which makes them worse for speedy War Plan fulfillment.

Activities To Prioritize And Avoid

The best War Plan route follows one simple rule: choose activities that give the best reward for the least time. Infernal Hordes should usually be avoided because they take too long, especially compared with faster activities. A single Infernal Hordes run can take as long as finishing an entire War Plan route.

The Pit is much better for fast routing. It is quick, gives useful Glyph Experience, and fits well into almost any account progression stage. Take Chronos’ Haste and Chronos’ Blessing to improve Glyph Experience, then pick speed-focused upgrades such as The Pit Butcher.

Best War Plan Route

A strong route starts by avoiding Infernal Hordes and choosing The Pit instead. From there, you can move into another fast objective, such as Slay The Harbinger for salvage or another Cleanse The Pit path for dungeon keys.

After that, Helltides become worth taking because the Maggot upgrade gives strong experience and Lair Boss Key rewards. Nightmare Dungeons are also good because they are fast and provide Obols, which are useful when you are not farming Infernal Hordes often.

Best War Plan Rewards

The strongest rewards to prioritize are Dungeon Keys, Obols, Experience, and Horadric Cube Upgrade Materials. These are the most valuable throughout endgame progression, extra salvage, Gold and materials are nice bonuses along the way.
