Patron Saints in The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu provide passive expedition bonuses from the back of your wagon. The slot remains empty when you begin the game because the system requires two discoveries: you must rescue the Woodworker and recover Sacred Figures from hidden shrines.

The lower deck of the Galleon contains nine empty pedestals, matching the nine Sacred Figures hidden across the expedition regions. Finding a figure alone is not enough to use its blessing. The Woodworker must be available on the ship to carve the Patron Saint version that can be equipped on your wagon.
Rescue the Woodworker
Look for an expedition with the Survivor icon displayed above its gate. Enter that region, locate the Woodworker, place him on the wagon, and extract successfully. After he returns to the Galleon, he becomes available to craft Patron Saints from the Sacred Figures you recover.

Find Sacred Figures at Hidden Shrines
Explore each expedition region for a hidden shrine containing a miniature Sacred Figure. Return the figure to the Woodworker so he can create the corresponding Patron Saint. Each completed figure provides a different passive effect for you and your teammates while it is attached to the wagon.
Choose a Patron Saint Blessing
The available blessings support different playstyles. Some improve bow strength, while another can prevent rain. Saint Benedict allows you to survive one deadly blow each day, making the blessing useful when a single enemy attack would otherwise kill you.

Spend Tokens Carefully
Rescue the Woodworker, recover Sacred Figures, and mount one crafted Patron Saint on the wagon to gain its passive blessing.
Mounting a Patron Saint on the wagon costs 100 Tokens. The selected blessing remains active for future expeditions, so you do not need to pay before every run. However, removing it or switching to another Patron Saint costs another 100 Tokens, even when returning to a figure you previously used. Choose a useful blessing and keep it equipped until a different bonus is worth the extra cost.
