Tuning Points are the main currency for permanent progression in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer. Purchasing upgrades with Tuning Points will change your vehicle permanently.

Understanding how to earn these points efficiently and knowing when you can actually spend them is key to dominating the Campaign.

Eliminator Events

Look for the skull icon on your roadmap to identify Eliminator events. Finishing in the top three awards you +4 Tuning Points. These events offer the fastest method for accumulating currency, making them the best choice when planning your tour route in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.

Standard Race Events

Completing regular Race events in the top three rewards you with +1 Tuning Point. While the payout is lower than Eliminator rounds, these events carry much lower risk and provide a steady way to build up points safely.

Scenarios

Completing a Scenario grants +10 Tuning Points. These longer challenges consist of five sequential races followed by a final Eliminator round that you must win.

Because Scenarios exist as a separate mode outside of your main Campaign, failing one will not negatively impact your campaign progress in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.

Spending & Resetting Tuning Points

You cannot spend Tuning Points at any time. The game only allows you to access these upgrades on the Vehicle Select screen right after you get knocked out of a Campaign tour or when starting a new one.

If you want to reallocate your upgrades or switch to a different vehicle, you can reset your spent points.

Select your vehicle on the setup screen and hold L2. This costs 2 Tuning Points and refunds all previously invested points so you can distribute them into different stats or a new vehicle entirely in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.

FAQ

Q. Do standard shop upgrades stay after a tour ends?

A. No. Temporary upgrades or parts bought with Hibi’s Shop Credits will return to normal when a tour ends. Only upgrades unlocked using Tuning Points remain permanent.

Q. What will be the penalty for a failed Scenario?

A. Scenarios are not tied to your campaign; there is no campaign progression to lose and you can try as many times as you like without risking your tour standing.

Q. When is the best time to reset Tuning Points?

A. If you switch to another stat build car, or if you’re getting ready for a particular track layout that requires max acceleration or speed.
