Pure driving skill keeps you on the racing line in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, but abilities decide who survives the pack.
Between hostile competitor attacks and punishing environmental hazards, equipping the right gadgets gives you the edge to disrupt rivals or shield your frame from catastrophic wrecks. You can swap these tools onto your vehicle between planetary race sets to adapt to whatever track conditions lie ahead in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.
Unlock & Upgrade Abilities
You acquire new abilities primarily through Ability Packs, which are sold at Hibi's Shop on each planet during a tour for 2,500 Credits. You can also earn these packs occasionally as direct completion rewards from events marked across the planetary map.
Opening an Ability Pack gives you a selection of options to pick from. If you pick a tool you do not own yet, it unlocks immediately for your garage.
If you select one you already have, you receive an upgraded version that adds extra passive perks and stronger activation effects. Increasing the level of Autopilot will increase its run time and apply the Overcharged status while it is running.
Because 2,500 Credits is a hefty sum, weigh your purchases carefully. You also need funds to repair lingering faults with Ori and Per or buy raw stat parts, so do not overspend on gadgets if your core engine setup is falling behind in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.

Autopilot
Takes over vehicle steering automatically for 10 seconds. While active, it significantly cools down your Ramjet heat buildup, letting you catch your breath without losing momentum.
Concussion Mine
Drops an explosive proximity charge directly onto the racing line behind you. Opponents caught in the detonation suffer from both Concussed and System Malfunction.
Ion Bolt
Fires a homing projectile that locks onto the nearest rival in front of you. Striking the target applies the Disrupted debuff, throwing off their controls.
Ion Blast
Acts as a dedicated crash ability. When triggered, it releases an omnidirectional shockwave that inflicts Disrupted on nearby opponents. Once your vehicle resets after the wreck, you gain a massive speed boost that scales higher for every rival caught in the blast.
Shield
Applies the Shielded state to your craft for 10 seconds. This protection cuts incoming collision damage from rival racers and softens impacts against track barriers and environmental hazards in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.
Shockwave
Releases a kinetic burst that shoves adjacent opponents away from your lines while slapping them with the System Malfunction penalty.
Status Scrubber
Instantly purges all active negative status effects from your vehicle. If it successfully cleanses at least one debuff, it restores one point of battery energy back to your machine.
Surge
Grants the Surging speed boost for 10 seconds. The effect ends instantly if you collide with an obstacle or another vehicle, but successfully overtaking opponents extends its runtime.
Vent
Applies the Cooled buff directly to your systems, dumping accumulated Ramjet heat so you can stay on the throttle without blowing your engines in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer.
