High Hopes For Cyberpunk 2077 to Become a Blockbuster Franchise

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of this generation, mostly due to CD Projekt RED's notorious reputation for developing highly polished and acclaimed games. The publisher is shooting high for the game hoping it'll become a franchise.

Speaking today at the Pareto Securities Gaming Seminar, CD Projekt RED's CEO Adam Kicinski spoke about the game's expectation.

“Cyberpunk is our new Witcher 3, but even more ambitious. Our goal is to establish a new blockbuster franchise from the beginning. We work in a new universe, futuristic universe. We believe it’s very appealing to players, not only RPG players but this is a true RPG, like Witcher, like Witcher 3, for mature audiences.”

The developer has immense faith in their project and fans are taking notice. With news such as the music being an indication of what people would listen to during the year 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now in development for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
