ARK Survival Ascended Guide | Top 5 Metal Farm Locations (Genesis Ascended Part 1)

Farm large amounts of Metal across the Arctic, Ocean, Bog, Volcanic, and Lunar Biomes.

Metal is essential for advanced crafting in ARK: Genesis Ascended Part 1, but the resource is spread across several dangerous biomes. Some areas contain only scattered rocks, while others provide dozens of rich Metal nodes in a small space. Bring an Ankylosaurus with an Argentavis or Karkinos to carry the Metal and improve each farming run.

Arctic Biome Metal Location

Travel to approximately 76.2 Latitude and 27.6 Longitude in the Arctic Biome. Look for the large mountain near the centre of the region and follow the narrow paths around its slopes.

Small groups of Metal nodes appear along the paths, but the wider ledges contain the best clusters. Some stopping points hold five to ten nodes, while the upper section of the mountain has the highest concentration.

Ocean Biome Metal Mountain

One of the best concentrated Metal farms is found on the large central island in the Ocean Biome, near 21 Latitude and 80 Longitude.

Follow the trails that circle and pass through the mountain. Metal nodes appear along pathways, entrances, and raised sections. The full route can contain around 70 nodes, making it an excellent location for farming with an Ankylosaurus and Karkinos.

Bog Biome Giant Trees

The Bog Biome offers one of the largest overall supplies of Metal. Search around the outer edge of the biome for enormous hollow trees with wide roots and internal platforms.

A single giant tree can contain 20 to 30 Metal nodes across its roots and openings. Continue following the edge of the biome to move between these large trees. Smaller trees may have a few nodes, but the biggest root structures provide much better returns.

Volcanic Biome Cave Entrance

Travel toward the upper section of the volcano and locate the cave entrance near 9.8 Latitude and 85 Longitude.

Metal nodes outside the volcano are widely scattered, so enter the first chamber for a more efficient route. Large clusters appear near the entrance and along both sides of the chamber. You can collect dozens of nodes without travelling deep into the dangerous cave.

Bring strong Armor, Heat protection, and a reliable mount because hostile creatures may appear nearby.

Lunar Biome Metal Farming

The Lunar Biome has fewer concentrated Metal deposits, but most ordinary rocks provide a small amount of Metal. Move into a wide, open area and harvest every rock with an Ankylosaurus.

Standard rocks produce more Flint than Metal, so this method is slower than farming rich nodes. Higher-quality Metal rocks occasionally appear on hills and elevated terrain, providing much larger yields.

Lunar caves can be more productive because their resource areas may contain better Metal deposits and large amounts of Element Shards. However, the Ocean Metal Mountain and the giant trees in the Bog Biome are generally faster for dedicated Metal farming.
