Bloodstalkers are among the most useful creatures in ARK: Survival Ascended Genesis. Their mobility and unique abilities make them valuable even during the early game. Taming one is also surprisingly simple, but you must bring enough Blood Packs and avoid attracting several Bloodstalkers at once.

What You Need to Tame a Bloodstalker

Blood Packs are the most important things you need. Before going to the Bloodstalker spawn area, get as many as you can. This is especially important if you're trying to tame a high-level creature or are playing with a slower taming rate. Place the Blood Packs in your inventory before beginning the tame. The Bloodstalker will consume them automatically after grabbing you.

A Sanguine Elixir is also highly recommended.Blood Packs can result in lower taming effectiveness, particularly on servers with slower rates. Using a Sanguine Elixir can significantly improve the effectiveness and help the Bloodstalker gain better bonus levels.

You may also bring a Crossbow, Grappling Hooks, and a Parachute. These items make it easier to move through the trees and position yourself beneath a Bloodstalker.

Where to Find Bloodstalkers

Teleport to the Bog Biome, located in the bottom-right section of the biome selection interface. Bloodstalkers usually hang upside down from high tree branches, so search above you rather than focusing on the ground.Be careful as you move through the area, and check the level of each Bloodstalker before you get close to it. A crossbow with grappling hooks can help you get to better viewing spots or move from high places to lower ones.

How the Bloodstalker Taming Process Works

Once you find a suitable Bloodstalker, stand beneath it and wait. When you enter its range, it will shoot a web, grab you, and pull you toward the branch.Attack or run away . Let the Bloodstalker feed . Keep the Blood Packs in your inventory .It will consume the Blood Packs instead of draining your health, and the taming progress will gradually increase.

Trying this without Blood Packs is extremely dangerous because the Bloodstalker will feed directly from your health. Bring more Blood Packs than you expect to need so the supply does not run out during the tame.

Avoiding Other Bloodstalkers

Check the surrounding branches before starting the tame. If two Bloodstalkers are close together, one may grab you while the other attacks, making the process much more dangerous.

Choose an isolated Bloodstalker whenever possible. If the target is too high or difficult to reach, use a Grappling Hook and Parachute to move closer until you enter its grabbing range.Improving Taming Effectiveness

Use the Sanguine Elixir during the tame to increase taming progress and improve the final effectiveness. This is especially helpful for higher-level Bloodstalkers or servers with standard taming rates.

The required time depends on the server settings and the Bloodstalker’s level. Increased-rate servers will complete the process quickly, while official or lower-rate settings may require several minutes and a much larger supply of Blood Packs.
