Element is one of the most important late-game resources in ARK: Survival Ascended, and the Genesis map provides an efficient way to farm it without completing difficult boss fights. By entering a cave in the Volcanic Biome, you can harvest numerous purple Element Nodes and collect thousands of Element Shards during a single run.
What You Need for the Element Farm
Bring a Mining Drill and enough Gasoline to keep it running. A Metal Pick can also harvest the Element Nodes, but the Mining Drill makes the process faster and more convenient.
Also, you ought to carry a strong weapon with you or tame a combat animal with you. Some of the dangerous creatures that live in the cave are Magmasaurs, Pulmonoscorpius and Rock Elementals. A shotgun or sniper rifle can help if you need to clear the way. But a strong Rex is safer for killing most enemies.
A Parachute, Crossbow, and Grappling Hooks are useful if you prefer to avoid fighting. A Tek Suit becomes the easiest travel option once you have access to one.
Find the Volcanic Biome Cave
Teleport to the Volcanic Biome and travel toward coordinates 29.1, 90.6. Look for small purple crystals near the cave entrance. These crystals make the location easy to identify.
There are several entrances around the mountain, but the entrance near these coordinates offers a relatively safer route to the farming area.

Reach the Bottom of the Cave
Enter the cave and continue moving downward until you reach the large lower floor. Don't run around without protection, as Magmasaurs and other hostile creatures can easily kill an unprepared survivor.
You can fight your way down with a strong tame or use a parachute to get above enemies and slide past them. Utilizing grappling hooks can assist you in managing your descent and getting to safer ledges.
Harvest the Purple Element Nodes
The large purple crystals found across the lower floor are harvestable Element Nodes. Use the Mining Drill on each node to collect Element Shards. On standard 1x rates, one node can provide roughly 100 to 175 Element Shards.
The entire lower section contains many of these nodes. Even a small portion of the first room can produce several thousand Element Shards.

An Ankylosaurus can harvest the nodes more efficiently than a Mining Drill. You can bring one with a Karkinos if you want to complete larger farming runs. The Mining Drill, on the other hand, is still the easiest choice because it doesn't require moving multiple creatures into the pit.
While farming, drop Stone, Metal, and other heavy items that you don't want. To keep your carrying ability, only keep the Element Shards.
Farm Both Sides of the Lower Floor
After clearing the first area, cross to the opposite side and follow the lava river to find more Element Nodes. The cave contains enough nodes for repeated farming runs, and earlier sections may begin respawning while you continue through the opposite side.
A complete run can provide enough Element Shards to convert into hundreds of Element on standard server rates.
Exit the Cave Safely
To leave, find any path that travels uphill and continue climbing.

The cave has several exits, so you may emerge from a different entrance than the one you originally used.
