In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you can obtain a Froakie early in the game by completing a side mission unlocked through the Detective once side missions become available. This mission can be found in the Jaune Sector 8 area, located in the upper-right section of the map.

First Parkour Challenge
When you arrive at the Jaune Sector 8 location, speak with the Construction Worker nearby to begin the task. You will find a large parkour course set up in the area. Your objective is to complete this course within 30 seconds to earn a Froakie as a reward.
Start by climbing the first structure directly in front of you, then turn left and move up the next section to reach the Ladder. Climb to the top, turn around, and cross the small bridge ahead.
Carefully roll to the next platform, climb another Ladder, and reach the upper level. Completing this route within the time limit will finish the first part of the challenge in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Second Parkour Course
After the initial course, the Construction Worker will direct you to a second parkour course. This time, you must finish within 40 seconds. Begin by sprinting forward and climbing the structures in sequence. Stay cautious near the edges to avoid falling.
Keep moving upward until you reach the top area. You can roll across certain narrow sections if needed, but maintain control to stay balanced. Completing this course successfully will unlock the final challenge in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Final Parkour Challenge
The last parkour course is at the top of the map. Travel to this area to find the Construction Worker again, who will have moved to the new location. Speak with them to start the third and final race. You will have 50 seconds to complete it.
Begin by climbing the first Ladder and moving quickly to the top. Roll across the next gap and climb another Ladder on the opposite side. From there, drop carefully onto the lower platform and cross the Beam ahead. Sprint across when possible, maintaining your balance, then roll over the next obstacle to reach the final section.
Move steadily through the last path, and upon reaching the end, you will find the Froakie waiting. Completing this final challenge will reward you with your first Froakie in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
