The Rite of the Pollip Wish in Shellwood requires you to collect six Pollip Hearts scattered throughout the region. This Wish becomes available after speaking with Greyroot in her house and involves extensive platforming challenges.

You'll need the Wall Jump ability to complete most sections, so it's recommended to progress through Shellwood first before attempting this collection run.

Starting the Wish

Begin your journey at Greyroot's house in Shellwood. Enter the home and wake her up by speaking to her in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Continue talking to Greyroot until she mentions the Gather Rite of the Pollip and allows you to promise this wish. This activates the Wish and makes the Pollip Hearts collectible throughout the area.

First Pollip Heart Location

Leave Greyroot's house and go right on the map. To reach a higher place above your home, you'll have to jump. You can blow up a Flower at the summit of the climb. This Flower has the first Pollip Heart in it. The location is situated directly above the house area on your map in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Second Pollip Heart Location

To get to a new room from the first location, go down and to the right. Navigate upward through the platforming sections, jumping between platforms and climbing higher. There will come a time when Wall Jump is necessary to move forward.

Even if you can reach this area without Wall Jump, you'll eventually need it for the final section. Climb to the highest point in this room, where you'll find the second Pollip Heart in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Third Pollip Heart Location

Head left from the second location and drop down repeatedly until you return to a familiar room. Jump over the platforms and enter through a doorway that leads to Shakra's former location. Shakra will no longer be present in this room. Use the bouncing enemies to cross gaps and continue moving right.

Begin climbing upward through the parkour section. You'll need to hit specific mechanisms twice to save time during your ascent. Continue bouncing between platforms and climbing until you reach the upper area in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Wall Jump is quite important here; however, you can try other ways by hitting more than one target and employing drift mechanics. Once you complete this part, the third Pollip Heart will fall to the ground, allowing you to collect it.

Fourth Pollip Heart Location

Go to the right, where Sister Splinter used to be. To reach the area on your map, proceed through the water portion and ascend. Go down to the lower level, where you'll find another Flower with the fourth Pollip Heart within. This means that you have finished four of the six Pollip Hearts you need in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Fifth Pollip Heart Location

Exit the fourth location and navigate back up. If you have Wall Jump, you can skip the longer route and jump directly upward. Without Wall Jump, you'll need to go left and around to reach the upper area. This location is where you originally obtained the Wall Jump ability.

From here, wall jump upward and navigate right through areas containing enemies from previous boss encounters. These enemies prove difficult to hit in tight spaces, so approach carefully in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Continue moving right while avoiding or defeating enemies until you reach a secret room containing purple Flowers. The fifth Pollip Heart will fall directly onto you upon entering this area.

Sixth Pollip Heart Location

Drop down from the fifth location and head right. Swim across the water section and climb up the designated area. Move downward through the hole and continue falling to reach the area just before Sister Splinter's location. Head back right and navigate to the bell area in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Since you now have Wall Jump, you can hit the bells and access the secret area. Move through this section and drop down into the lower area. Blow up the designated obstacle and continue downward. Navigate left instead of dropping down the hole, as this leads to a secret passage back toward the woods.

Continue moving through Shellwood until you reach an area with vines that can be blown up. Destroy these vines to access the final Pollip Flower containing the sixth and final Pollip Heart.

Completing the Wish

Return to Greyroot's house after collecting all six Pollip Hearts. Enter the home and speak to Greyroot again in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

She will acknowledge your completion of the Gather Rite of the Pollip Wish and grant the Rite of the Pollip Wish. This completion triggers a brief sequence, after which you can speak to Greyroot once more.

She will provide you with the Pollip Pouch, which contains fast-acting venom drawn from Flower hearts. This item applies venom to equipped tools, presumably adding poison damage or damage over time effects to your attacks when equipped in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
