In Hollow Knight: Silksong, the Cling Grip is a basic Skill that lets you climb walls. This guide will help you to get this essential Skill, enabling you to quickly reach heights by jumping from flat surfaces in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Starting Location

Start your journey in the middle of Shellwood, at the spot where Shakra spawns. If Shakra isn't here, keep going, since this is where you can find your way around Shellwood.

Initial Path Through Shellwood

Head left from Shakra's spawn point and ricochet across the platforms. Throughout your journey, you will encounter enemies that require precise timing to defeat effectively.

Eliminate the initial enemies without delay by striking them twice in rapid succession. You must wait for it to become vulnerable again if you miss the timing in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

As you ascend, you will encounter additional enemies that are comparable. Backing up to the right before assaulting is the most effective strategy, as it eliminates the need to change direction during combat. Climb upward through the area and proceed to the upper-right section to enter the next zone after defeating these enemies.

Navigating to Sister Splinter

Remove any vegetation or vines that may obstruct your path. Navigate to the right side by jumping and ascending within the subsequent area. By descending to lower platforms and traversing the designated passage, it is possible to circumvent specific enemies.

Continue to the location where you will encounter Sister Splinter. In comparison to previous encounters, this enemy presents a substantial increase in difficulty. The primary obstacle is managing the supplementary enemies that Sister Splinter generates during combat in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Post-Boss Navigation

Upon defeating Sister Splinter, descend to confront a particular enemy type. Wait for it to emerge, and then strike it twice. To be defeated by regular equipment, this enemy requires a total of four strikes. Repeat this process with comparable enemies in the vicinity by jumping across the platforms in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

As you progress through the section, you will encounter enemies that necessitate four strikes. It is possible to eliminate certain enemies before they fully emerge by striking them twice promptly. To advance further into Shellwood, traverse the swaying platforms and turn left.

Final Approach

You can either run or float across gaps in this section, depending on what you want to do. Move quickly through certain areas to avoid attacks from enemies.

If you keep your speed up high enough, you can completely escape some foes. For others, though, you have to wait for them to stretch out before you can safely jump over them in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Proceed through the remaining platforms and enemies. Certain enemies in this section may be bypassed if you have the drift ability. To reach your destination, jump across the final platforms.

Getting Cling Grip

Upon reaching the final location, you will encounter an interactive object that requires examination. The inscription is inscribed with the phrase "Daughter of a distant land”.

To initiate the ability acquisition sequence, press the bind icon. The binding procedure will be finalized when the screen transitions from white to black.
